Richie Cannata


plays tenor sax on “Oil”, “I’m Too Beau’ful”, “Deliver Me”, and “One Last Look”. Richie has a member of the Billy Joel Band for many years. He's also worked with such other artists as Elton John, Brian Wilson, Celine Dion, Cheap Trick, Charlie Daniels, and more and toured with the Beach Boys for a better part of the 90s.

ER: When Richie and I met in the studio, we discovered we’d both been in Cuba at the same time, for Havana Jam, a three day festival of American and Cuban musicians. Richie was playing with Billy Joel and I was the sloop’s musician, having sailed there overnight from Key West. Quite an adventure - such synchronicity.
